Part I: Damn political people...
Mar. 7th, 2006 08:17 amI shouldn't LJ stalk as much as I should. And, even though lately that has been fairly sparse, it's still too much.
Quick definition of LJ Stalking: You find someone you know, read their friends posts, and from there you can find other people to do the same thing for.
And a good chunk of the people I know are fairly politically active, and they link to... well, to be blunt, they link to whackjobs.
And I don't call them whackjobs lightly, being one myself. Especially in the political arena. I mean, one of my greatest successes was when I had both liberal and conservitive friends questioning my sanity for voting for Bucannan. 2000 was a fine, fine, year. :)
WHoops. Need to move computers - I'll edit this in a bit. :)

Anyway, back to ranting.
There was a particular venomous piece about 'Pussy Republicans' today - Republicans who hide under a 'Libratarian' nameplate, or support the GOP even if they feel they aren't fully represented.
Now, this gentleman practices what he preaches - He gives of himself in support of his political beliefs more so than anyone I've ever even heard about, at least in the past 40 years or so... I actually admire his convictions, even if he is a complete whackjob.
But he has just described eighty percent of the voting populace. Including all the 'pussy democrats' that do the same thing, but with a left lean.
Screw him. The system is screwed. And Lewis Black said it best during Comedy Central's Last Laugh 2005. (Very long video clip with not a whole lot of worksafe stuff in there.) I'll give you the bit toward the end...
Democrats and Republicans are f***ing worthless.
I trust doctors. Sure, they're people and make mistakes, but there is a long medical track record showing improvment as we go along. Politicians get no such trust from me, because the track record just plain sucks.
Democrats and Republicans are just names for two sides of the same goddamn circle-jerk. And you should never trust a circle-jerk that gives you no pleasure, but still f***s you anyway.
Bah.
